Refund and Cancellation Policy

How cancellations and refunds work for paid Goodspeed plans.

Last updated: August 7, 2026

Jump to section

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for paid Goodspeed plans. It supplements Section 4 of the Terms of Service; if there is any conflict, the Terms of Service control.

Cancelling a Subscription

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account billing settings or by emailing support@goodspeed.app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access to paid features until the end of that period, and you are not charged again after it ends.

Goodspeed plans are sold only on goodspeed.app and billed only through Stripe. There is no Goodspeed subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, so cancellation always happens here, never in a store account.

Refunds

Except where the law requires otherwise, subscription fees are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods after a cancellation. We do not provide prorated refunds for the unused portion of a term.

We will make things right in these situations:

  • Billing errors. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@goodspeed.app within 30 days of the charge and we will review it and correct any genuine error.
  • Where the law requires a refund. Some jurisdictions grant consumers refund or withdrawal rights that we honor regardless of the general rule above.

Usage Credits

Usage credits (for example, generation or deploy credits) are non-refundable and non-transferable, and they expire as described on the pricing page or at signup. Cancelling a plan does not refund unused credits.

Runs That Fail

A run that starts is billed for the work it consumes, whether or not it succeeds. Generating an app or building one spends real money the moment it starts: model-provider usage, and for a mobile build a per-build fee the build service charges us whether the compile succeeds or fails. So a run that starts and then fails on its own merits is still charged for what it actually consumed, and that charge is not refunded simply because the outcome was a failure.

The exception is a run we stop. If we cancel, reap, or otherwise kill a run from our side, or it dies because of a fault on our infrastructure, you are not charged for it at all. You do not have to ask for that; the billing path excludes it automatically.

The cost figure shown before you start a run is an estimate, not a cap. Every build is bounded by a spend ceiling, and you can set your own on the app. When a build reaches its ceiling it pauses and asks you what to do rather than spending past it, so you are never billed beyond a ceiling without having been asked first.

If a run failed and you believe the cause was a defect on our side rather than in what was being built, write to support@goodspeed.app within 30 days and we will look at the run and put it right if we got it wrong.

Free Plans

Free plans involve no charge and therefore no refund. We may modify or discontinue a free plan as described in the Terms of Service.
